Car Event Technician
This isn't a conventional car company. We're a new global brand that focuses on the need of the connected generation, sustainability, and a hassle-free customer experience.
Car Event Technician
As a Car Event Technician in our Concept Workshop team, you will be part of our creative and global Uptime department. The Uptime department manages everything that a typical car manufacturer would classify as aftermarket services, focusing on proactive solutions to ensure car uptime. When downtime occurs, we create solutions to troubleshoot and get the car operational again as soon as possible. Your daily workspace will be our Uptime Concept Workshop, a dynamic environment combining both office and automotive workshop elements, where the entire Uptime team operates.
As a Car Event Technician, you will work alongside our experienced team of technicians, coordinators, and other skilled Uptime professionals to support both pre-production and serial produced vehicles. Your responsibilities will include maintaining vehicle health and appearance, and collaborating with various internal stakeholders, such as Marketing, Logistics, and the Vehicle Project team, to ensure seamless vehicle support.
This role is based at our Concept Workshop in Lindholmen, but you will also travel to events in different countries and visit other Lynk & Co locations. You will report directly to the Head of Concept Workshop.
What you'll do
- Monitor performance to ensure all pre-production and serial cars are fully functional, in excellent condition, and up to date
- Support all Lynk & Co car-specific activities, whether in the Uptime Concept Workshop or at events, including fault tracing, coordinating and performing repairs, detailing, software updates, and High Voltage work
- Perform Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) on new vehicles
- Collaborate closely with Car Event Coordinators, including traveling for on-site vehicle support
- Plan and manage car projects from a technical perspective, coordinating with other Lynk & Co departments, partners, and suppliers as needed to meet service deliverables
- Work proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, making swift decisions and seeking out necessary information
- Actively contribute to optimizing processes, finding synergies, and implementing best practices with your team
What you should have
- General mechanical skills, with technical certification or training in automotive mechanics, engineering, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in car detailing
- Proven experience in fault tracing and diagnostics
- Proficiency with diagnostic and other communication tools
- Ability to read and follow operation instructions
- High voltage training and experience with electrical systems
- Skilled in tire replacement, wheel balancing and alignment
- Valid driver's license is required; BE-license is a plus
- Experience in creating new installations and repairing wiring harnesses is an advantage
- Knowledge of AC and ventilation systems is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; DevOps experience is a bonus
