As the PR Manager for the Netherlands & Belgium, you will be the driving force behind crafting and executing dynamic, market-specific communication strategies that resonate deeply with Dutch and Belgian audiences. Your main focus is driving local PR efforts, ensuring Lynk & Co’s voice is authentic, bold, and impactful in these key markets.
Collaboration with internal teams across Europe – Including Gothenburg, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Paris – is essential to share insights and amplify Lynk & Co’s disruptive and youthful brand spirit. This role reports directly to the VP of PR & Communications Europe.
What You'll do
- Strategic Communication:
- Collaborate closely with the European PR team and cross-functional internal teams (marketing, product, sales, digital) to develop and implement strategic communication plans that resonate locally and align with global objectives.
- Provide insights on market-specific trends and opportunities to maximize impact.
- Local PR Agency Management:
- Lead and manage the local PR agency, ensuring their work aligns with global and regional strategies.
- Provide clear guidance and briefing, review deliverables, monitor performance, and optimize resource use.
- Content Localization:
- Own the localization of PR materials, working with regional stakeholders to adapt messaging in line with local culture, language nuances, and market trends.
- Media & Influencer Engagement:
- Build, nurture, and leverage strong relationships with local media, influencers, and key industry figures to amplify brand presence and credibility in the Netherlands and Belgium.
- Proactively identify and pursue local opportunities for media coverage, interviews, and other publicity efforts.
- Partner with social media team to amplify PR initiatives online, leveraging content and campaigns for broader reach.
- Media Cars Coordination:
- Oversee local PR cars logistics, working with the local agency to coordinate journalist and influencer test drives, maintenance, and third-party service providers.
- Events & Special Projects:
- Guide the agency in planning and executing impactful local PR events and special projects.
- Plan and execute PR events to boost brand visibility and audience engagement.
- Guide local agency to coordinate media involvement for optimal coverage, handle logistics and third-party coordination as required.
- Monitoring, Reporting & Analysis:
- Track PR campaign performance, prepare regular reports with key metrics and insights, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and relevant news to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Crisis Communication Support:
- Monitor local media landscape for potential risks, support crisis response efforts, and ensure timely communication aligned with global crisis protocols.
- Budget Management:
- Manage local PR budgets responsibly, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and timely approval of expenditures.
Who You are
- A proactive, strategic communicator with deep knowledge of the Netherlands and Belgium media landscapes.
- Experienced in managing local PR campaigns with a flair for storytelling and community engagement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative, and international environment.
- A car expert, petrolhead, or simply passionate about the automotive world — that’s a big plus!
- You’re adept at leading projects and agencies, but also enjoy getting your hands dirty and producing materials.
- Managing budgets, guarding timelines and interpreting data is key.
- You do not miss a beat as you are detail oriented and always have the audience in mind.
- Experience working with crisis communication, being assertive, effective but keeping your cool.
- Good reporting and analytical skills, and ability to use insights to develop future campaigns.
- You understand that this is not a 9 to 5 job. It requires accessibility, genuine commitment, and enthusiasm.
