Copywriter Dutch - English

We’re not just looking for a copywriter & translator that can write a clever headline or turn a brief into a press release. We’re looking for someone who can help craft the message and story of Lynk & Co. 
You should possess a powerful command of tone and the ability to adapt our brand strategies and tone of voice to Dutch. You are positive, proactive, and naturally at home in a team-motivated environment. 
As part of the Content Creation team, you will play a critical role in crafting, defining, and refining our presence offline and online. Working collaboratively, you will help establish the tone and messaging that will directly and positively impact the growth of Lynk & Co. 
This position will be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands but working remotely is not a problem. 

You are a person that thinks creatively and thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced, and deadline-driven work environment. You should also be an unflappable self-starter who uses good judgment and quickly builds trust with partners. 
You have an excellent awareness of trends in culture, in particular the digital space, and a desire to take risks and experiment with new and unique brand experiences. 

Is there a specific channel that you love? Maybe you can spin a witty social media caption, can’t get enough of B2B whitepapers, or you’re obsessed with email marketing. Either way, let us know if there’s a form you specialize in. No judgement... Even if it is whitepapers.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Write copy in all forms and variations that inspire, educate, and entertain. Lynk & Co’s copy aims to drive awareness, create better user experiences, and generate quality leads and/or other marketing metrics
  • Translate and adapt copy from English to Dutch and vice versa
  • Liaise with stakeholders and encourage them to embrace new and exciting ideas
  • Collaborate with creative partners (in-house and external) to conceptualize and create innovative, effective, and on-brand messaging across channels and platforms
  • Ensure all content and assets are compliant, approved, and have a consistent voice and message

We think you have…

  • A minimum 5 years of writing experience, preferably from an agency setting with a mix of B2C and B2B clients
  • An obsession with words and a global approach to creative development, with consideration for content that works across markets, channels, cultures, and audiences
  • A solid understanding of branding and the ability to absorb and apply brand values across all work
  • The ability to take complex material and industry jargon and streamline them into engaging and clear stories
  • An excellent command and high proficiency in written Dutch and English

Our recruitment process

We work with a competence-based framework. You apply by submitting your LinkedIn-profile or CV written in English and answering a few questions. 

A portfolio is an essential element of the application and you should provide a link or PDF with reference of your work. 

We also want you to solve a challenge. Write copy for one Instagram post, max 280 characters. The copy should be adjusted to be used in LinkedIn as well, max 500 characters. The topic for the post is Why sharing? The text must be in Dutch and English. Applicants who do not supply a link or PDF with samples of their work or provides a solution to the challenge can unfortunately not be considered.
