This isn't a conventional car company. We're a new global brand that focuses on the need of the connected generation, sustainability, and a hassle-free customer experience.

Retail Project Manager (Construction)

Picturing a car showroom? Think again. Lynk & Co is not another car brand, it’s a different one. We show this by not opening just another store, but a different one. One that does not resemble a car showroom, nor any other car brand store in the world.

We are looking for a Project Manager with a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in retail construction. The role is to support the Retail Development team in their objective to open numerous new Lynk & Co clubs (as we call our stores) throughout Europe. Our first flagship clubs opened in Amsterdam and Gothenburg. We have many more to come...

How do you know if you’re right for this role? You have excellent management skills, but that isn’t your only superpower. With your background in construction and design, you also know how to build and motivate a team of different expertise to optimize their output, have strong eye for detail and live and breath the Lynk & Co vision.

You will report to the Director Retail Development responsible for setting up our clubs in Europe.

Initially this position will be on a 6 month fixed term contract with the intention to offer a permanent contract after that.

What you'll do

  • Manage multiple new construction projects, from a to z
  • Deliver high quality on-brand clubs within budget and on time, finished to the highest standards and managing all internal and external parties throughout the process.
  • Create schedules and you make sure all internal and external partners (i.e. landlords, architects, contractors and other vendors) keep to this schedule
  •  For each new project check feasibility and present the budget, timeline, possible concerns and trade offs
  • Check and review of design and construction drawings
  • Manage and execute project setup on-site. This is a hands-on role, so expect to have to roll up your sleeves and stand in the dirt
  • Liaise with Retail Operations in the setup and hand-over document for each retail project

What you should have

  • You have at least 3-5 years of project management experience in international retail construction
  • You have at least Bachelors degree or similar in a field like Architecture or Building Engineering
  • You can juggle several projects and tasks at the same time. You’re the kind of person who keeps cool and organized, even in the midst of chaos.
  • You have an eye for detail and design; all focus is on aesthetics & quality
  • You see tight deadlines as an exciting challenge
  • You have strong communication and negotiation skills
  • You are passionate about fashion, design and architecture and enjoy working in an international atmosphere
  • As we’re expanding you must be willing and able to travel international regularly and understand that this is not a typical 9-5 desk job.

What we offer

Sure, we have all the basics in place like pension and insurances, wellness allowance, and flexibility in where and when you work. But that's not the reason you choose us… You want to work with us because you will:

  • Be part of a global and diverse team, with teammates from over 26 countries and a 50/50 gender split
  • Be part of a fun work culture with high team spirit. People really enjoy their teams and get along well with their teammates. There’s a running club if you’re into that sort of thing, Mario Kart tournaments, lunch dance sessions, after work get together etc.
  • Be part of creating something new that has never been done before. The pace is fast and it is never boring!
  • Get the best of both worlds: a start-up atmosphere with the support of an established organization
  • Make a difference. We're a lean team with a flat hierarchy, so every contribution has a direct impact
